I'm not the only Jane, of course, but I am the only Jane who launched a clothing company with a single jumpsuit called Jump One during lockdown in Los Angeles in March 2020.
Designed to fit beautifully and feel great, Jump One has been featured in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, WWD, and Vogue, which called The Only Jane “your new favorite jumpsuit label.” In 2021, I expanded the line to include pants, jackets, and more jumpsuits, all cut in the most exquisite indigo fabric – a dream since denim is my very favorite thing in fashion.
I grew up in Los Angeles selling jeans and t-shirts at my family's Ron Herman stores. In New York, I worked in fashion for more than 15 years, as a writer and editor at Vogue, T Magazine, and Travel + Leisure, and later for American brands like Gap and Theory. In 2013, I co-founded JeanStories.com, a celebrated style site about everything denim. When I became a mother in 2018, I started wearing jumpsuits daily and I wanted to design one that fit perfectly and surpassed seasonal trends. The Only Jane is the culmination of everything I've learned about clothes and what it means to really live in them. It is Made in Los Angeles with great quality and care for every part of production, from the people to the packaging.
