Jane Herman is a founder, designer, and writer based in Los Angeles. In March 2020, she launched The Only Jane with a signature jumpsuit called Jump One. Her newsletter, Jane on Jeans, is currently on Substack. 

Designed to fit beautifully and feel great, Jump One has been featured in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, WWD, and Vogue, which called The Only Jane “your new favorite jumpsuit label.” In 2021, Jane expanded the line to include jeans, jackets, and more jumpsuits, all cut in the most exquisite denim.

Jane grew up in L.A. selling jeans and t-shirts at her family's Ron Herman stores. She spent most of her career in New York as a fashion writer and editor for magazines like Vogue, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and Travel + Leisure. She also worked on the creative teams at GAP and Theory. In 2013, Jane co-founded JeanStories.com, a celebrated style site about everything denim. When she became a mother in 2018, she challenged herself to start her own clothing company and design a jumpsuit that surpassed seasonal trends. The Only Jane and Jane on Jeans are the culminations of everything Jane has learned about great clothes and what it means to really live in them.
