I'm not the only Jane, of course, but I am the only Jane designing and shipping jumpsuits and denim-wear from my home in Los Angeles where I live with my husband and our kids, Georgia and Walt.
I launched The Only Jane in March 2020 with a single jumpsuit called Jump One. Designed to fit beautifully and feel great, it has since been featured in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, WWD, and Vogue, which called The Only Jane “your new favorite jumpsuit label.” This year, I've expanded to include pants, jackets, and more jumpsuits, all cut in the most exquisite indigo – a dream since denim is my very favorite thing in fashion.
I grew up in Los Angeles selling jeans and t-shirts at my family's Ron Herman stores. In New York, I worked in fashion for more than 15 years as writer and editor at Vogue, T Magazine, and Travel + Leisure, and later for brands like Gap and Theory. In 2013, I co-founded JeanStories.com, a celebrated style site about everything denim. When I became a mother in 2018, I started wearing jumpsuits daily and, realizing how easy they made it to get stuff done, I challenged myself to design one that surpassed seasonal trends and fit perfectly. Today, The Only Jane is the culmination of everything I've learned about clothes and what it means to really live in them.
Please stay well and thank you for shopping.
